MZEE AMUUA KIJANA WAKE ALIYEINGIA CHUMBANI KWA FUJO NA 'KUMTIBULIA' USINGIZI

Wapelelezi kutoka Idara ya Makosa ya Jinai (DCI) wamefichua kwamba wamemkamata mzee wa miaka 73, James Tarus, kwa kumuua mwanae.

Kijana huyo ambaye alikuwa mlevi alielekea chumbani kwa baba yake na kujaribu kumuamsha kwa kunyanyua kitanda jambo ambalo lilimkasirisha sana mzee huyo.

Babaake kwa hasira, alichukua kipande cha mbao akampiga na kumfunga kwa kamba shingoni na kisha kwenye kochi.

"Mwathiriwa ambaye alikuwa amekunywa chupa kadhaa alielekea nyumbani kisha hadi chumbani mwa babake akaanza kumuamsha huku akinyanyua kitanda.

Akiwa amewaka kwa hasira, mzee huyo alimpasua kichwa mwanawe kwa kutumia mbao iliyokuwa karibu, kabla ya kumfunga kwa kamba shingoni na kidha kwenye kochi," DCI aliripoti.


DCI ilisema chifu wa eneo hilo na wananchi walifika eneo la tukio na kumkuta kijana huyo akiwa amefungwa kwenye sofa na tayari akiwa amekata kamba.

Alikuwa ameaga dunia kutokana na majeraha aliyopewa na babaake, ambaye alikamatwa mara moja.

James Tarus was arrested moments after the 7pm incident last night at his home in Cherangany's Chepsiro location, Trans-Nzoia County.
Unlike the Biblical prodigal son who repentantly returned home and received warm hugs and a fattened calf treatment from the father, the 31-year-old victim who had been away for four years arrived home to no welcome, as his elderly father was enjoying an early evening power nap in his bedroom.

Burning with fury, the man whacked his son's head using a nearby wooden bar, before injudiciously tying a rope around his neck and restraining him to a sofa.
The area chief and concerned neighbours who made their way to the home arrived too late, only to find a motionless cold body of the young man in the same restrained position.
Upon receiving the report, Cherangany police rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect, escorting him to the station where he is being held as further investigations continue.
